The Good Life

Following in the footsteps of my father, I always strive towards ‘the good life’. For me, that means having the freedom, flexibility and confidence to live how I choose. That’s why I reject labels and embrace my life as a nomad, writer, coach, adventurer, colleague, partner, activist, daughter, friend, sister and most importantly- human.

My Work

Fashionista

Although I am now a self-professed fashionista, I haven’t always been confident in myself and want to show people it’s ok to be awesomely and uniquely you. I have always loved fashion, from sketching dress designs as a child to obsessing over The Clothes Show. Today, I use fashion to express myself by bucking trends and experimenting with vintage styles.

Career Coach

As a career coach, I encourage people to believe in themselves and take the necessary steps towards building their dreams. I give my clients suggestions, tips and tricks to set them on the right path as well as giving them the confidence and motivation they need.

Advocating for yourself and foraging your dream career is a hard but rewarding path. I never thought I would send my manager an email saying, ‘I am a wasted talent here’, but I did and it got me a promotion. Since then, I have advocated for honesty and openness in a professional setting and believe in standing up for yourself. Encouraging others to do the same is some of my most rewarding work.

If you feel you need that extra boost for your next career move, let’s chat.

Trainer: Enterprise Resource Planning

Throughout my working life I have taken on a variety of roles, from a project manager to a consultant and trainer. I began in this line of work after years in the accounting and finance industry. During that time I worked on many change and transformation projects, allowing me to develop my expertise in ERP.

Enterprise Resource Planning is a cloud-based solution which merges all aspects of a business including their accounting, procurement and management. My role is one of the most crucial in this process. When a project is about to go live with the end client, it’s my job to support their training needs. In this role, I have facilitated and delivered training in the UK, North America and Europe.

Today, I also work as a consultant to support businesses’ ERP needs. If you are interested in working with me on this topic, let’s connect.

Wellness and Lifestyle

In 2010, I became a wellness and lifestyle expert. My expertise helps me to listen to my heart, grow my confidence and live life to the fullest. That may mean different things to different people. For example, my nieces are very close to my heart so seeing them is vital to my health and happiness. I strive to help people find theirs and share my journey by speaking at events and contributing to publications.

Nomad,traveller & adventurer

In 2008, I decided to leave everything, my family, boyfriend and friends to live in Amsterdam. It was the craziest but best decision I had ever made. I was pushed out of my comfort zone time and time again, shaping me into the go-getter I am today.

Since then, I have loved living abroad and lead a ‘digital nomad’ lifestyle. During this time I have worked as a business owner, lecturer, finance professional and more. This varied expertise has allowed me to live in the Canary Islands, the Netherlands and the UK.

Whenever I visit a new place I love to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself as part of my ‘go-getter’ mentality. It’s about proving to myself, if I can climb a mountain or go paragliding, I can do anything I set my mind to.

Podcaster

Every day I am inspired by the people I meet. That’s why I started my podcast, ‘GoGetterMe’. In each episode, I chat with someone who inspires me about their life and work. So far, my guests have included entrepreneurs, nomads and economics gurus, but my favourite has to be the ‘Bionic chef’. I will be launching a new podcast later on this year.

Writer

As a writer, I see life as a series of chapters, or episodes. Each of these episodes gives me the opportunity to learn and grow. I share this journey through my writing both on my blog and in national publications such as the Thrive Global and Huffpost. I have also been featured in Mirror, Telegraph, Refinery 29 and Stylist.

My writing allows me to share the values that matter most to me: confidence, wellness and honesty. Recently, I have begun to champion the #AgeofHonesty in order to combat the perfectionist attitude pushed by social media. Let’s be honest, we are all imperfect and life is hard. In The #AgeofHonesty I vow to be open about the challenges of life in my writing. Whether that’s learning a new language or listening to my heart.
